HUNTED

He said she was beautiful
He was obsessed with her beauty
Her beauty was his sunshine
Her skin
The feel of silk
Her lips
Full and pink
Her eyes
Huge and alluring
Her legs
Long and spotless
Her bosom
Heavy and young
Her poise
Elegant and confident
She was his dream girl
He dreamed of her each night
And daydreamed about her each day
She was like a mirage
Real to his eyes yet unreal to his hunger
She was everyman’s dream

She was beautiful…yes!
She knew it
Her beauty was captivating
She was aware they all wanted her
Her charm was rare and magnetic
She saw them drool as they stared
And she secretly loved the attention
It all was a cliché to her
But little did they know of her pains
Her unending sorrow
The pains that kept her awake every night
The memories that made her roar in agony
The shadow that lurked in the dark
The figure that prodded her delicate being
She wished they could see the horror
She wished she could be free from these chains
These invisible chains…these shackles
Oh who would rescue her!
She whispered to herself each time they stared
But no one knew the true tale
For she was HUNTED

THE NEXT VILLAGE DANCER

With one sweep
With one strike
With one step he raised dust
Glistening in the sun
Muscles flexing
Causing ripples as his toned abdomen sways
All man!
All handsomeness
The crowd cheers
He perspires
Sweat dripping from his dusty skin
His loincloth flips and sways
The young maidens blush
The male folk watch in admiration
He knew he had won their hearts
The beat of the talking drum intensified
His body produces more adrenaline
The sweat from his eyebrows blinded his determined eyes
This was the dance for a trophy
He was now the last man standing in the contest
He knew he was the next Village Dancer
He was going to be famous and rich
And he was ready for it all

FUN AND GAMES

You are so different
We don’t rhyme
We fight quite often
We love sometimes
You look so pale
I look so hale
I smile my smile
Just for a while

I’m different
We are friends
We play all day
My candies I share
I invite…I offer
You decline
I listen to what you say
Babble babble babble

Where are you?
Hey you!
I want to play
Cos I’ve got a lot of time to spare
Time for our games
I’m ready
You are ready
Off we go!

You beckon
“Come on!”
“It’s time to play”
Along the sea
We build our castles
It’s wet
It’s set
Time for fun!

Good night…Goodbye!
I shut my door
And up to the sky
My final glance
Goodnight…Goodbye
My dearest friend
And tomorrow
We’ll play again!

...in few words

Bitterness
Guilt
Anger
Filth
Sorrow
Tears
Regrets
Flight
Questions asked
Answers far
Uncertain
Nay
Why
Cry
Confusion
Lay
Tears
Sorrow
Filth
Pass-by
A frown
I stare
Ok
Maybe
It’s time to rest
My best I’ve done
All these years!

UNCONSCIOUS DRIFT

Help!
My mind is higgledy-piggledy
My thoughts are running wild
Wild with no control
And I cant calm myself
Im on the edge
Yet there is no choice to jump
Im just standing at the edge of the cliff
And looking down at the haze
If I go back, Ill face my past again
But if I jump, Ill face my future
Yet I cant jump
So I just stand there
With thoughts so crazy
Crazy crazy thoughts
I just stand there and drink-in my present
What a mess!
What a stationary mess!
I look up and stare at the clouds above
They seem so close and pure
I lift my hands to touch them
But the disappointment of reality hits me
I put my hands on my chest to feel my heart beat
It is beating really fast like my thoughts
The thumps so fast!
The thumps so hard!
My heart beats fast!
Spinning thoughts!
A racing heart!
I look down again
Below the cliff
But the haze I see no more
My traffic of thoughts accelerating
As the view below me clears
I see my future
So clear!
So there!
I shudder as the wind caresses my skin
And I finally make the decision
The decision to change my situation
To make a move
To embrace my future
So I leap into the yonder below me
I feel the sweet joy of my future
But yet the fear of crashing engulfs me
And then I wake
My bed so soaked
My clothes so drenched
I look around in confusion
It was all a dream!
A substance-induced dream
What substance?
What happened?
Answers I do not have
The many questions probing my conscience
My eyes feel so heavy
I close them gently
And drift again in sleep
