GRANDPA

Grandpa has a car
A nice old red car
He loves to take it for a long drive
He calls the car, Missy
No one but Grandpa is allowed to take Missy for a drive

Grandpa has a cat
She is very furry and fat
She loves to eat the rats
I really don’t like cats
But I like Grandpa’s cat

Grandpa misses Grandma
He wrote her a song
She’s been gone for so long
I heard she’s dinning with the angels
I have never met my Grandma

My Grandpa is very old
His age I’ve not been told
I really do miss my Grandpa
He gives the best hugs
I can’t wait to visit Grandpa this Christmas!

YOU SEE ME IN A WAY I DON’T SEE ME

You see me in a way I don’t see me
How do you do that?
I don’t even see me that way
The things you say…
…they sound good
They put me in a good mood
How do you do that?
You speak kind words
You make me feel good
You make me look good
You tell me nice things
You make me believe I have wings
Wings to fly
To fly high
You make me want to try
Try to be a better version of me
Why?
Why do you see me this way?
You amaze me!
Thank you!
I’m grateful!
I’m thankful!
Thank you for seeing me in a way I don’t see me!
Thank you for believing in me!
Thank you for encouraging me!
Thank you for accepting me!
Thank you for being you!

THE SOWER

She gathered her seeds
Her seeds of good deeds
It was time to plant again
The season for sowing
She scouted around for good land
Seeds in her hand
She walked in love
In search of good soil
Not too much toil
Very little sweat
She found her land
Good, fertile soil
She planted the seeds
The seeds of kindness
Seeds of good deeds
She watered them with love
Selfless love
Pure love
Soil wet
She watched them grow
Beautiful trees so tall and strong
Spring green leaves
Sweet and juicy fruits
What a great harvest!
She filled her bags
And strolled off in joy
Some she kept
< So much left >
Some she gave
< It still remained >
Some she sowed
< And the cycle continued >
With great joy, she sowed again
With great joy, she harvested
The story of the sower
The sower of good deeds

THE BEACH AT NIGHT

She ran!
Away from the noise
Away from all her troubles
Away from her sorrows
Away from their judgmental stares
The useless side talks
The back biting
She ran!
Away from it all
And into the warm embrace of the night
The road was lonely
But she cared not
It was just what she needed
The beauty of silence
Peace
She arrived at her destination
Her place of solace
Her favorite spot
Her favorite time of the day
The beach at night
Beautiful it was
She loved the beach at night
No one in sight
Just right!
She inhaled the salty air
And exhaled the foul air of strife
Just what she needed
It was cold
But she cared not
The peace felt like a warm blanket around her
She needed this
The ocean was magnificent
It brought joy to her soul
She smiled at its powerful waves
They beat hard against the face of the ocean
They spoke kind words to her
And approached her feet in submission
Kissing the shoreline
This thrilled her
She sat before it
Savoring her few hours of bliss and solitude
She looked up at the moon and smiled
The moon smiled back at her
Her night friend
He loved her frequent visits here
She loved them too
The perfect therapy!
She tried to bury all sad thoughts
The drama and pain she left behind
She deserved this peace
Tomorrow she’ll fight again
But tonight she would savor this beautiful view
And drink it all in…sweet peace!

My Morning Treat

I cradle you in my palms
Pretty you in a lovely…
...Mmm…
The sensation
Your warmth
You make me feel just right
You are just where I want you
Right here!
So right!
You make me smile
I’m so glad I have you
My morning treat!
I lick my lips in anticipation
Just you and I
The bond we share
I lead you to my lips
That smell…just right!
Intoxicated by your captivating smell
I bring you closer to my lips
Through my lips and down my throat
My sweet coffee!
Perfect delight!
My every morning treat!

JUST HER

The silence made her pause in the doorway
It was strangely quiet
It was never quiet on a day like this
She felt the little drops of sweat roll down her face
Something was wrong
She could feel it
Where was everyone?
Had they left her?
Had everyone moved on?
Had the rapture taken place here?
She felt so alone
No one to laugh with
No one to hug
No one!
Just her!
She looked around
The room was empty
It was a bit dark
She wasnt afraid
She was just sad
She hated being alone
It was her birthday
Her day!
She didnt deserve to be alone
She was home
But this didnt feel like home
No one was here
Had everyone forgotten it was her birthday?
How could they?
Tears welled up in her eyes
The tears felt hot
She felt hurt
She didnt expect so much
She just expected a little love
A hug
A joke
An evening with the people that mean so much to her
Her eyes and nose struck a good deal
They were leaking uncontrollably
She sniffed!
And then she sniffed again!
She could smell something yummy
It smelled like roasted
Roasted turkey?
That was odd!
Did they leave something in the oven?
How careless?!
Now, she was sad and upset!
So she followed the smell
It led her to the kitchen
And then.
they all screamed
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DIALOGUE

I know me
I’ve known me for a while now
I know what I’ve done
I’m not proud of me
I’m not proud of the things I’ve done
I’m not proud of the life I’ve lived
I’m not proud of the person I’ve become
I’m not so nice
I’ve done very ugly things
I’m not worthy to stand before you
You should hear what they say about me
The nasty names they call me
The way they treat me
I’m a sinner!
You don’t want someone like me
No one wants someone like me
I’m better off in the shadows of my past

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you
Before you were born I set you apart
I have loved you with an everlasting love
Turn back to me with your whole heart
I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake
And remembers your sins no more
Forget the former things
Do not dwell on the past
See, I am doing a new thing!
I will build you up again
I have called you by your name
You are mine
You have been honored
And I have loved you
Therefore I will give men for you
And people for your life
Fear not, for I am with you
